Dr. Ahmed is a fellowship-trained, double board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with advanced expertise in reconstructive and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he graduated cum laude and competed as an NCAA Division I Track and Field athlete, before completing his medical degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He went on to complete a three-year surgical residency at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, gaining extensive experience in adult foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, arthroscopy, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care.
Following residency, he completed a pediatric foot and ankle fellowship at The Pediatric Orthopedic Center in Cedar Knolls, NJ, where he trained under Dr. Mark Solomon and Dr. Mark Rieger. There, he gained specialized experience treating congenital deformities, growth plate injuries, and sports and dance-related conditions in children.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ahmed is dedicated to training and mentoring future podiatric surgeons. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing sports, fitness, nutrition, and spending time with his family and friends.
